Era (if any): Classic Who (although really it could be any at all, I suppose!)
Characters/Pairings (if any): Third Doctor, UNIT (or anyone, really.)
Plot Bunny Summary: There's a Yeti on the loo in Tooting Bec
Any Other Notes: Maybe it's just me, but I can't remember seeing this in fic form anywhere as yet. Jon Pertwee's eternal example of how UNIT worked, for those who haven't heard it before. There ought to be crackfic. It seems polite for it to be Three, but as long as we find out why a giant, hairy robotic creature was sitting on the loo (and why in Tooting Bec), I am not particular which Doctor/characters. In fact, if everyone keeps finding a Yeti on the loo, it might be even funnier.
(Yes, I managed to listen to a bit of the commentary for Planet of the Spiders. There might be more.)

BASINGSTOKE.
Battersea, Upper Norwood, Wimbledon Common. Clapham, Putney, Lambeth, Kew. Chiswick! Greenwich! Croydon! (Not to be confused with Corydon, which was the first capital of Indiana.) Epsom! Woking and Guildford and Reigate!
...I read way too much British detective fiction, don't I.
*/completely OT, unless there are Yeti on loos in all these places*

I still want to make it to Penzance someday, though. But I hear there are actually tourist reasons to go there. (Besides the pirates, I mean.)

Penzance is of course perfectly sensible. Cornwall is v pretty, so I hear. I've always stopped short in Devon, though.

Here is a video of the Power of Basingstoke scene from "Ruddigore": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qi4Q-Bhlfl0

I don't think you can read too much British crime fiction, personally. :-)

Possibly not. ;-) But I'm running out... I've read all the Holmes, all the Father Brown, 90% of the Christie (and I don't even like her, really - I was just EXCESSIVELY BORED and hadn't discovered fanfic yet), 95% of the Sayers, and probably some others I forget. Who am I missing, I wonder?

(I know these things because I cannot resist a Penguin greenback in a second hand book shop. :-D)
I am also a sucker for historical crime fiction - although not as many, but def. Ellis Peters and Anne Perry.
