Plot Bunny Post: Two UNIT related ideas and a drabble

Plot Bunny Summary: I was doing a series called 'Happy Endings' where companions left to marry people no less random than some certain companions actually did marry... One idea I had but I don't think I'll do anything with was if the Brigadier had gone off with Doris pre-Spearhead in Space. Naturally the entire timeline was different, and there was much disaster (because the Brigadier really is indispensible). But I don't think it's a story I'd do justice, too. I'd really like to read it, though. (Hope that makes sense. I hadn't got as far as working out specifics).
Any Other Notes: I think that was enough.

Plot Bunny Summary: In New Who's UNIT eps, there's no mention of the most recent Brigadier and they go on about the Doctor's transport without once mentioning Bessie. How can this be? Naturally, Bambera and Ancelyn must have run off together in Bessie to the alternate dimension and be running round killing dragons.
Any Other Notes: I've discussed this several times with several different people, but sadly can't seem to actually write it. And there ought to be more fic with Bambera and Ancelyn, anyway.

Plot Bunny Summary: I wrote a drabble for dw100 (see below) and primsong keeps hinting I should write it as a full fic, but I'm not sure what I'd do with it. It's basically the TARDIS team being caught in an alien religious war, with both sides ending up wanting to kill Steven until the Doctor cunningly talks them out of it. It could be Vicki instead.

Namesake
It had been no intention of his to embroil the boy in another religious quarrel, absolutely not. And this one as ridiculous as Gulliver’s affair!

He thought of his name, after another young man who’d died for a cause.

He would have to have words.

By the time he’d finished both sides had moved from fighting over who had the right to kill Steven, to insisting it was the other’s duty. In the confusion, they slipped away.

No martyrs today, he declared, eyes bright with triumph and laughter as the girl hugged him. Steven shook his head.

No, not today.

You could always change the TARDIS team? It seems a very One-ish prompt to me, but it only needed to be Steven for the drabble (because of Stephen being the first Christian martyr). OF course, what primsong may have been hinting at anyway, is the backstory that implies that ONe actually met Stephen. Which finally I get after posting this. *duh* Which, again, is something to be VERY careful with - but One could probably get away with it.

But, yeah, swap TARDIS teams??
