The Inspiration of Rassilon

Regeneration is a non-fiction book detailing the story of how the TVM came to be. It is a FASCINATING read! There are sections on a few scripts that were considered before the final one was chosen. The script I refer to above, is by a man called John Leekley. He also wrote a 'bible' of ideas on what he thought the Eighth Doctor should be like. The 'bible' was a leather-bound book presented to various 'bigwigs' and is, I believe, completely reprinted in Regeneration. It certainly takes up quite a few pages in the book! :) One of the other script offerings was by Robert DeLaurentis. Both scripts contain references to Hitler and/or the Nazis. The whole book is hard to put down. I got my copy through the 'Fantastic Fiction' website. It's expensive, but well worth it! Btw, in the Leekley bible, 'Ulysses' is the Doctor's father and his mother is an Earth peasant woman called 'Annalisse'.
