Prompt of the Month #10: July 2011

Did I say the end of the week? Whoops. (Well, to be fair, I didn't say the end of which week.) Anyhow, apologies for being late with the prompt.
From the Spin-offs Discussion Post: I thought I’d covered most of the spin-offs people might want to see fic for. It turned out I could not have been more wrong & I immediately decided this would have to be the next Prompt of the Month.
So, here’s the challenge: write a fic to introduce or ‘sell’ to everyone else to your favourite obscure corner of DW, (and/or fulfil any of the prompts from the above post for the really tiny sub-sections of DW fandom). Spoiler free and newbie-accessible would therefore be things to aim for in your fic.
Some of the things requested: the DW plays, Faction Paradox, various fan productions, Kaldor City audios and others. So, obscure corners of the Whoniverse, or one-off characters/ideas/villains from the novels/audios/comics. Probably also stuff like Big Finish’s lesser known ranges & one-offs like Unbound/UNIT/Cybermen/Dalek Empire, and non-Shalka webcasts. But I don’t have an obscure-o-meter (fun as that would be) - if you’re feeling alone in your appreciation of some tiny bit of this fandom’s world of dubious canonicity, it's bound to count. (A general guidance might be 5 fics or less, but I'm not going to go out checking.)
So, just to be clear: Either be the kindest of good fairies and grant a wish for obscure fic, or sell your favourite unknown DW treasure to us all.
Rules of the challenge
Fics can be as short or as long as you like. Please post wherever you wish but link back to this post via the comments (if short enough and you want, comment!fic is fine).
Bonus points for including as much of the original prompt as possible, but this is a free-for-all, so there is plenty of room for interpretation (e.g. same prompt, but variation of character etc.)
Those taking part will receive banners as a reward.
The challenge closes on Sunday 24th July. (Please note August 2011 will be ‘catch up’ month, so there may be some extra time!)
I will post a reminder before then.
Happy writing!
